Mr. Michael is a graduate of the University of Berne and qualified as a lawyer in 1985. He opened his law firm in 1988 and is now the Senior Partner of Bader Gnehm & Partner with offices in Berne and Zurich. His main practice areas include corporate law, commercial law, arbitration (international Chamber of Commerce and International sports Arbitration), mergers and acquisitions, etc., providing services for a number of Chinese and Indian companies in Switzerland for investment and mergers and acquisitions projects. Mr. Michael has also served as an independent director of a number of medium-sized companies.
Mr. Michael is with his law firm a member of the international legal network LAWorld with 60 international law firms around the globe. From 2018 to 2020 he served as Chairman of LAWorld.
Mr. Michael works since 1991 for Swiss companies investing in China and Hong Kong and since 1995 for Chinese companies investing in Switzerland. He has conducted and accompanied a number of large real estate projects in Switzerland for Chinese investors.
