Since graduating from Southwest University of Political Science & Law in 1990, Mr. Zhang has served as a court judge and a teacher and has been engaged in judicial trials and legal education for many years. He is a level-2 lawyer. Over 26 years of practicing as a lawyer, Mr. Zhang has served as a legal counsel for governments and nearly 100 large companies, handled more than 1,000 civil and commercial litigation and non-litigation cases, and once served as a specially invited host for programs such as the "Legal System Evolution" and "Legal Talk" of Chongqing Television Station. In 2006, he was qualified among the first batch of individual "bankruptcy administrator" by Chongqing Higher People's Court. Mr. Zhang led a team of lawyers that undertook more than 20 bankruptcy cases such as the bankruptcy reorganization case of the public company Zhaohua Technology Co., Ltd., thereby effectively resolving social contradictions. He also participated in the establishment of Chongqing Bankruptcy Administrator Association, and made contributions to the standardized management in the bankruptcy cases and the construction of the bankruptcy administrator system in Chongqing.
Over many years, Mr. Zhang has served as a legal counsel for Chongqing Yuzhong District Government, Beibei District Government, Chongqing Yufu Assets Management Group Co., Ltd., Port Group, Chongqing Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., and other large companies, and provided professional service for major projects such as Chongqing Sincere Holding (Group) Co., Ltd., Luneng, and Vanke. He has conducted in-depth research in the areas of asset management such as M&A, bankruptcy liquidation, and real estate operation. He has successfully handled a large number of cases with respect to M&A, project supervision, bankruptcy reorganization, and bankruptcy liquidation. The unique insights and rich experience have benefited clients greatly. Mr. Zhang presided over disposing of the United International Building project, and acted as the dedicated legal counsel for the project. The United International Building project was a "Four-Long Project" in Yuzhong District. He proposed a unified solution that protected both the interests of homebuyers and the security of the creditor's rights of state-owned companies, and assisted in effectuating the solution, thereby innovating the legal service manner for resolving the social problems of such projects. The case was ranked by Chongqing Bar Association among top 10 classic legal service cases of (non-litigation) commercial transactions.
