She was trained at the University of Hamburg, Germany, and the BPP University, UK, under the state financial support of China. As an LL.M in Business Law from the University of Edinburgh in the UK, and thanks to her experience as an intern at the Frankfurt Branch of the internationally renowned Clifford Chance and Butzel Long in Michigan of the U.S., Ms. Zhang is able to handle foreign-related legal affairs and foreign-related commercial negotiation in fluent English.

 

Ms. Zhang acted on behalf of Chongqing Transportation Holding (Group) Co., Ltd. to establish YUXINOU (Chongqing) Logistics Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Russian Railways, Deutsche Bahn, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, and China Railway International Multimodal Transport Co., Ltd (CRIMT) for the railway logistics business along the Eurasian Land Bridge originating from the western region of China. As the first project of China under the "Belt and Road Initiative," the project welcomed President Xi Jinping at the European terminal in Duisburg, Germany. Ms. Zhang has been a retaining legal counsel to the joint venture since the completion of the project. Moreover, she also presided over or participated in: the investment made in Pakistan by Zongshen Industrial Group together with eight motorcycle companies in Chongqing; Chang'an Suzuki's equity restructuring; the founding of a joint venture between Chongqing Mingrui Clothing Co., Ltd. and Danish H&P Company; a joint venture project between Minsheng Shipping Co., Ltd. and Italy BCUBE S.P.A.; a foreign-related general contracting project between Yakebo Optical Fiber Technology Co., Ltd. and Israel UP-IJLC; the due diligence investigation of Canada Premier Diagnostic Health Services Inc.; the due diligence investigation entrusted by Chongqing Foreign Trade and Econmic Cooperation(Group) Co., Ltd. with respect to the legal environment in Thailand, Ethiopia, and Bangladesh; working together with LI & PARTNERS (Hong Kong) to acquire Yunyang Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant on behalf of Hong Kong Champion Group; and the equity transfer of a China-Canada joint venture - Chongqing Meridian BoAo Magnesium Co., Ltd, and other foreign- related projects.

 

Ms. Zhang, as a well-known expert in admiralty &maritime law, acts as a legal counsel to the leading marine logistics companies such as Minsheng Shipping Co., Ltd., Chongqing Transportation Holding (Group) Co., Ltd., Chongqing Shipping (Group) Co., Ltd., and PANA Logistics Inc. Before moving to Beijing, she once served as a member of the Company Law Professional Committee of the Chongqing Bar Association, and was a well-known expert in company law in Chongqing. She has provided retaining legal counsel and litigation services for large enterprises such as Chongqing Yufu Assets Management Group Co., Ltd., China Chang'an Automobile Group Co., Ltd., PICC Property and Casualty Company Limited., Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (Group) Co., Ltd., Midea Group, China Telecommunications Corporation, and China Railway Tunnel Stock Co., Ltd.
